  • Grandpa was hiding a secret on that farm, and I was going to find out what it was, even if Pa found out and put me in the corn thresher to make me learn my lesson.

  • I started following Grandpa around, spying on him, "I have to find out his secret, I just have to know it." One night, I peeked in his room when he was on the phone, and he said
