Our mom made us go to Mrs. Sorber's house

  • Our mom made us go to Mrs. Sorber's house on Halloween, even though all we ever got there was apples. Mrs. Sorber made us sing songs too, to earn our unwanted apples. This year,

Grace, he is obviously talking about the ecktoplasmic transition but instead of using the terms of an archaic magical language he is using more modern terms that cut alway all the excess baggage those other evil terms conjure up to the mind of the sheeple.

The cheeseheads will take over new york

This could be a great kraft cheese commercial. They could carve the city of New York out of cheese & place it on a raclette grill & then animate the Velveeta invasion and turn on the raclette grill and the city would melt into a puddle of yummy crusty cheese .

I would buy whatever product that was advertising. Grills, perhaps? I thought grace's last line was perfect.

Grace, I'm not sure what to say about what you wrote, except that nobody forced you. There are so many other folds that you could have continued. And then there's Woab. I really don't know how to respond to that.

I nearly forgave WOAB, until I noticed that she was completely in favor of dumbing things down and even resorted to fart jokes.

It's pretty hard to keep a story with a serious tenor on foldingstory, and people have very different writing styles which sometimes clash - out of the mix a foldingstory is born. I understand your frustration Blasted, but it is surely not always easy for others to continue in the same style.. Grace has only just started here and doesn't have a record of messing up other people's folds: a total of 6 completed folds to date! So welcome Grace! Find your voice. Full disclosure: I also occasionally resort to scurile humor.

If Grace had left out the personal attack, I would have had no problem with her fold. Nice way to start off.

I am so sorry, BlastedHeath! No offense was meant. I just liked the last line, not that it insulted you. Looking back on it, grace might have had more sense than to knock an established folder like you, but was obviously clueless to the situation. Not very tactful, to be sure.

Thank you, Woab. Sorry to everyone that I have been so problematic about this.

Huh. And now I know that "grace" also wrote this fold two minutes later, in this story: http://foldingstory.com/s16l6/ "The overlords rapidly converged in the skies above, casting shadows on Hrengor. He instantly stopped using his psionic powers, but he had been detected. was it too late?" Interesting.

  12. SlimWhitman Jun 17 2018 @ 12:02

Hrengor the Beholder is on his way to the meme pantheon...

  13. BlastedHeath Jun 18 2018 @ 20:02

... and Grace was no stranger to fancy words herself.
