I wonder what will become of my memory. Will

  • I wonder what will become of my memory. Will I "live" on for five years? Ten? Those who know me, will they speak my name often? I just can't help but wonder...

    4
  • if the memory I have tried so hard to build was grasping at imaginary fibers. For those that do not establish an importance are doomed to rot in nameless space.

    5
  • My Space. Appropriate, wouldn't you agree? It's where nameless, imaginary, unimportant people meet to become real. It's where I live, actually. And you're invited!

    5
  • Because you are unimportant too. Thank god we are pointless together now. Why, my heart swells with lackluster nameless sensations as I hold you. Our kissing is insignificant.

    5
  • How I long to spend many boring hours with your unremarkable face. Our lovemaking will be tepid at best and I will feel indifferent to every second of it.

    4
  • Completely detached, I shall swear my finite and mundane love for you while you watch Friday night football and pass gas on my sofa. Together we shall walk the dead primrose path

    4
  • to debtor's prison, where we'll waste the rest of our lives in doom, despair, and unrequited love. . .for I will have moved to someone else. . .someone who has nothing in common

    5
  • Will have escaped too and we will be like the characters in "The Road". The charred ruins of the old world will be our path to survival. I carry a pocket knife, so beware of trying

    1
  • steal my pockets. Not all learned the lessons The Road had to impart. I never knew who had learned which lesson & which hadn't I. I wasn't looking for a phoenix but to see the egg!

    2
  • And at that moment, that very instant in time, I realized THE PHOENIX AND THE EGG WERE ALWAYS RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME, WAITING FOR ME TO RUB THEM INTO MY SOFT FLESHY BELLY.

Ha, Lenman- I wonder if that last line contains what was forgotten in the first line!
