Reductionism is a copout to gloss over that roughness. Dust to dust, star-sparkle dust-devils, rivers to the sea, whatever -- long long stretches of living in horror is not right.

So, I guess I shouldn't mention that my Death Star only has one toilet at the center of the station. Its use is discouraged but its installation was a legal requirement. The halls leading to it are all infinity times infinity high and wide but only 23 inches apart so most people end up touching the walls on the way in and out in the dark. It isn't exactly dark but there is only one 40 watt light hanging right over the toilet about 9 feet up. For some reason the floors of the hallways feel wet and slippery but aren't even though it feels like they are.

That's the thing. It should come with instructions, what Death Star doesn't, oh yeah, this one. Somehow you are supposed to figure out how to use a toilet on your own.
