When my wife & I moved to the SciFi town

  • When my wife & I moved to the SciFi town we weren't surprised to see everyone dressed as though they at Comic-Con. We were surprised half the town spoke Klingon & half spoke Na'vi

    3
  • & the other half wasn't very good with numbers. Still, life in SciFi town grew on us. My wife found a nice Dr. Who ran a practice called The Twilight Zone. Somebody I didn't even

    2
  • know waved his tentacles at me from his front porch & welcomed us to the neighborhood! We discovered the Galaxy Grocery down the corner of Babylon & Atlantis Ave. in SciFi Town and

    3
  • Leesburg. SciFi Town was a sister city to Leesburg, Va. The tentacle tongued aliens informed us that

    3
  • everyone in Leesburg, VA was secretly a tentacle-tongue alien, like themselves. Although this sounded fantastic, we had to admit that we'd never seen the tongues of anyone there.

    2
  • Except for one lady. She said she'd had the most incredible night of her life when

    1
  • they got together and went out for dinner. She had ordered

    1
  • Snail guts with a side of salt and vinegar. The man smiled kindly

    1
  • "Or maybe something a little more to your taste?" "Yes," I answered gratefully, "Do you have any avocados?"

    2
  • "Oh! I think I might have just one left," they replied with a soft chuckle. "Oh thank god," I said. "If you didn't, it would have been the pits."

I was just in Leesburg, VA for a concert last weekend. First time I've ever been there.

I don't live too awfully far from there, myself, but I will keep a lookout for tongue tentacles next time I am in the area.
