May 12, 2015, at 3:05 PM was fast approaching, when a dark star passed in front of Polaris confounding the orientation system of the satellite transmitting the CatsAid Concert.

The satellite now point out to deep space. Everyone here on Earth was disappointed but those out in the far reaches of space were thrilled. Alien species of cat people landed

on their own home town. It was a great experiment! And it worked! All the people on Earth worked together to recycle

all of their plastic water bottles. It was more than enough plastic to build a spaceship, but the ship wasn't big enough for everybody.

So they knocked out Overbearing Ollie and stuck him in the plastic spaceship and sent him off the planet. They would die there, but it was enough to have Ollie out of their hair.

After counting to a googleplex Ollie, not realising that they had sent him into space, opened his eyes and shouted "Olly olly oxen free" and opened the hatch and died from space.

Wait, how did SlimWhitman pick up the story citing the same date and basically the same time with there not being any clue given to him by the previous fold?

I suppose it is possible that he remembered the date from some random open fold he had seen 6 months before.

Or I guess he grokked that the previous fold was about the CatsAid concert and he remembered the date it happened and the time that Bowie took the stage.

I like the third explanation because mundanity does not really meld with foldingstory - but in an alternate universe without plastic spaceships, sundancer vowed to continue where May 12, 2015, at 3:03 PM left off and started a story. Following her lead and seeing that the grains of her clock had gotten stuck, I gave them a tap.
