- There was nothing left. The city which had been so familiar to her was now in ruins. This was worse than a nightmare.
- The sewer rats greeted her and they spoke Rattish, which she couldn' t understand. One rat sniffed her toes as a greeting, similar to a cat. She was stunned, and nervous.
- She was allergic to cats, and wondered if this also applied to rats. The polite thing to do would have been to stick around anyway, but she had little desire to spend the night
- in the rat hole. She remembered the day she learned she was allergic to cats. Her crush Bobby finally invited her over, but when she smelled his cat her face puffed up and her nose

- not having kneeled before him when he came home, and not saying "Here, Exalted One!" when she brought him his beer! No wonder he was so furious at her! She would have to compensate

- She dropped the vegetable peeler and twisted herself into a pretzel-like yoga pose. "Like this?" "Not quite what I had in mind, but intriguing nonetheless." "Great, your turn!"
- We spent the night spelling out stories with letter yoga poses. It was all very amusing until we switched to chinese and ended up hopelessly entangled in a 爱.
