The postcard said: Meet me at the Bleeding

  • The postcard said: Meet me at the Bleeding Heart, Holborn. Don't wear a coat and bring the book with you - Dmitri.
  • Holborn had his uses for Dimitri, but only a few. There was the cigar trick and of course the Hiroshima Over Easy. Everyone thought they wanted to know what that was, but really
  • people were offended, but trying to be polite. It was still too soon for Hiroshima tricks. Dimitri smiled at Holborn knowing he was on borrowed time and lit the cigar.
  • BOOM! The end of the trick cigar exploded, showering Dimitri with confetti and fried rice. "Sorry, I thought it was a Havana Cigar," he remarked casually.
  • Isiah didn't know that Dimitri's father had been killed by an exploding cigar. So he wasn't prepared for the onslaught from Dimitri his casual comment elicited. Three years later,
  • Isiah remembered Dmitri's story. The head honcho was a disaster for the organization he worked for... and he smoked cigars! Just one Belvedere packed with more than flavor and
  • carcinogenic juiciness was one cigar too many. But despite Dmitri's warning, Isiah could not keep himself from lighting a Belvedere up behind the gas station men's room. The smoke
  • was evil smoke that turned people into
  • french fries. That was pretty much the end of their hopes and dreams, their careers, their family trees. Sure, some characters had to make jokes about condiments and roadkill, but
  • But wait: Not I! "No, Never.. How could I?"; I thought aloud. I only wanted to wrap this story up using as much punctuation as possible.
