The searchlights passed - it was now or never.
- The searchlights passed - it was now or never. "Joe, I can't go out there," Steve said. "I glow in the dark. It was a thing in 2018." Joe glared. "OK, the rest of you - let's go!"
- Joe and the rest of the inmates made it to the fence and started scaling it. "Damn it" thought Steve "I've gotta try!". He bolted for the fence. Instantly the guard saw him glowing
- with anger. The guard pulled out his gun and went to fire it at the inmates to stop them from scaling the fence. The guard fired but the bullet stopped 2 inches from the inmates
- The guard fired another, scraping one of the inmates side. He screamed and clutched his side and then continued to climb.
- His heart was racing as he climbed, muscles screaming in protest. But he couldn't stop now, this was everything he had been waiting for. His body couldn't fail him now.
- Higher and higher he climbed, grunting, willing his body upward & onward. He thought about how great it would be when he got to the top! Then he made a fatal error: he looked down.
- He stomach flipped over. But he had a mission. He had to climb higher. Step by step. One by one. higher and higher, step by step, rung by rung climbing Jacob's ladder until
- he reached the top, only to find a picture of his stomach before it flipped over. He was incredibly disappointed, and decided to jump off the ladder. Miraculously, he
- breezed right by a shiny grey escalator on his way down. Two guys riding up waved cheerfully as he passed them. He closed his eyes, hoping he'd land on something soft, at least.
- He ended up landing on his poor nanny, Fran the Flan. He broke her back and she went to the emergency room to get surgery on her flan. But the custard could not be saved. Goodbye.
