- It was a long way up, but Brad knew he'd get there eventually. "Just keep looking ahead," he said to himself as he carefully adjusted his
- schizophrenia to match his multiple personality disorder. "I will" he whispered back in Harriet's voice. She was the most dominant in situations that involved snow and pain.
- That's why she was so good at hockey. Although her brutish ways kept landing her in the penalty box. Harriet loved those words and mouthed them to herself, "penalty box," giggling
- was not her strong suit. In fact, she was humor challenged. Her mother was a very successful class clown and lorded that over her daughter. So she mouthed her jokes instead
- actually feeling them. Some suspected that she was dour on purpose, a sort of humor-rebellion against her much more popular mother. She'd have her funny bone removed if she could.
- Actually, she was fairly gelatinous overall. Oddly, she seemed to always drive far out of the way to avoid passing any rendering plants. Sophie
- could never be sure whether her body was a blessing or a curse. On one hand, Gumby had a 35 year run as a TV icon. But then again, her cardiologist was always telling her
- that if you have a heart then Gumby's a part of you. Pokey knew it too, and proceeded to sink his hooves into her flesh to help his pal escape from her corpse. Pokey kicked until
- his green friend could breathe again, giving Gumby the strenghth he needed to hold Pokey's hooves as the esquine backed slowly from the carcass, freeing his friend for good.
- Gumby looked back. Past the smoke he saw the flag of the Green Revolution. It had been worth it, all of it. He shed a last tear for Kermit. "Thanks, Pokey. Let's go."
