- She was done. After all the years of naysayers and doubt, she had finally accumulated enough abandoned scraps of cloth to sew together a life size replica of the Queen of Spain.
- When Robert noticed Bertha had cut his favorite plaid flannel shirt into pieces to complete her masterpiece, however, he said not a word, but crept slowly behind "The Queen" and
- whispered odd innuendos that she couldn't quite hear. Robert was a master whisperer because he's swallowed a cue ball. Bertha took took her masterpiece and waved it around like
- it was something special when it was just a yak horn filled with mead. She banged it into Robert's Adam's apple neatly dislodging the cue ball while he tried to whisper sweet noth
- ings through her navel to the unborn king within. Though the blockage was removed, his voicebox was crushed and the warning was left unsaid. She ran out of the tavern straight into
- tavern next door. The two taverns were mirror opposites. Everyone in the reverse tavern was speaking backwards. Overjoyed, she fell to her knees and covered her mouth. She also
- Was speaking backwards. She had never done this before. Her mum said it was strange to not understand her any more.
- Each glance of my eyes into hers brought a shiver into my bones, a little sip of fear that invigorated and stifled me. I once dared to shout, demand of her to speak as we'd taught
- her to do so long ago, but her eyes hardened and telepathically I heard her scoff at my little treats and manipulations. I fell to my knees and began to howl for forgiveness.
- "Just stop snarfing up all my juju bees and we'll be good," Then she grew sharplely teeth you know you are what you eat she smirked biting my hand. Now she's me. Jokes on her.
