- the local populace into supplying labor for the tourism industry, because most of the invaders were sun-worshipping hedonists thronging to Crete to turn their bodies into golden lo
- honor the sun that the great mother gave to them. The golden heathens sang a song of praise to their mother as the sun rose, as the soldiers ransacked our seaside village.
- I stood torn, unsure whether to risk my life attempting to defend my home from the barbaric martial forces descending upon it, or remain to watch this strangely moving ritual.
