Interbelt mining corporation read the insignia

  • Interbelt mining corporation read the insignia on the ship. Sargent Beck wasn't buying it. The airlock hatch opened & he greeted the Ship's laison who glanced at the DEA agents dog
  • and said, "Toy poodle?" The DEA Agent said, "COCHISE!" The toy poodle lunged at Sargent Beck's neck
  • -tie and corrected the flawed double-windsor. "Rarf! All of the old traditions are dying. The young don't care!" The toy poodle sulked off. The DEA Agent shook his head. "Cochise."
  • The DEA agent was flabbergasted at Cochise's behaviour. His cat was very good at climbing walls, having watched the toy poodle.
  • Perhaps, the DEA agent wondered, it was time the DEA had a feline unit. No, Coshise would never take orders from the government. What if the DEA took Coshise on as cat consultant?
  • It was a conundrum. But they needed her and her catpertise. "OK," he said, "We'll give you a chance. But one piece of evidence gets eaten and you're through, Coshise!" She smiled,
  • knowing full well that her kitty charms could easily change his mind. Coshise ran her paw along the line of fallen mice, allowing one to snag and drop to the floor.
  • "Oops!" she mewed. "I'd better...pick that up." She bent down slowly, making sure he noticed her feline body. It worked. Coshise's slender figure and delicate paws
  • amazed him to the point of no return. He had to remember this beautiful kitty face- cute, but a huntress lurking behind it. Every Coshise's movement was simply so perfect. And then
  • he saw her -- for the last time. His splendid feline friend sprinted across his field of vision, pursued by a larger cat. He couldn't watch.
