    I think it would be nice to look up the Catalan poets now. I'm not even fluent in Spanish, and for a silly reason: when I was a kid I didn't like what we called Spanish Olives at the time (green manzanillas, probably, green anyway) and I didn't have any Spanish ancestry. But later in life I had at least a sense of fellowship with certain Spanish poets and other litterateurs.
