Seething beneath the surface of her smile
- Seething beneath the surface of her smile was a subtle sense of slightly soiled subterranean sensations.
- With one final farewell, fostering feeble, faint feelings of unfathomable fright, she fought to forget. Fantasies of freedom and fortune, fears and failures, foretellings of fate
- glaringly gone and ghastly. She grew into a ghost gravitating to green garages. She geared up to glow and glower but
- didn't bother. Her patience was wearing quite thin, as was the material at the knees of her favorite pantsuit.
- She knew she shouldn't wear it to do the gardening, but she couldn't resist it.. along with the huge turquoise earrings. It gave the neighbours something to talk about, especially
- the jeweler across the quad who nearly swallowed his loupe every time she came out wearing the thirty carat diamond necklace. The snipers ensured her safety, but her nudity was
- almost too grotesque to be believed. Even the snipers covered their eyes. That's when the meteor hit.
- "KA-BOOM!" cried the meteor. "KA-BOOM! KA-BOOM! KA-BOOM!" it screamed out as its white hot debris rained down, scorching all in the vicinity. The vengeance of a bitter universe
- and an angry God depopulated the Earth until only a few remained--those that made their homes in the mountains. New human species would evolve: grotesquely twisted mountain people
- from a place called "Malibu."
