Twelve year-old Kate looked grumpily out

  • Twelve year-old Kate looked grumpily out of the window of her crowded SUV. She felt nauseous as her car swerved slightly back and forth through a massive blizzard.
  • She heard her father swear and quickly slammed on the breaks. But he was too slow, the car collided in to the back of the semi. Kate, who did not have her seat belt on, flew out
  • managing to clear all three lanes of highway traffic rolling into the grassy ditch. She lay there in disbelief, not sure exactly what just happened. Her right arm was numb, but
  • still attached. She dragged herself to a supermarket & spent her last Euros on an improvised poultice made from croissants & Ardennes pate. Over the next week her arm festered unti
  • l it smelled offally bad. With her other arm, she crept across the the floor and called for help. When the emergency medical team showed up, they mistook her for a pile
  • of offally bad offal and, in the condition she was in by then, literally stepped over her without recognizing what they were doing. They smelled her, though. One of the EMTs stood
  • for nothing. This EMT was totally vapid and literally, had no dog in any fight. The EMT was a real nowhere man, cared for nothing but fulfilling basic instincts. His name was Vic
  • Tayback, once a failed actor, now a failed EMT. He still believed "Alice" was real. Vic tapped the body of the bicyclist he had failed to revive, and shrugged. It was almost Miller
  • His one time rival and now a peanut farmer. Who knew
  • Peanuts are really worthy in this world in which you have to eat something, you know. Peaches, peanuts, peaches and then more peanuts. Nuts and peas. That's my favourite diet.Ohboy
