Amazingly, my weekend wasn't as terrible

  • Amazingly, my weekend wasn't as terrible as I had predicted on friday. I thought I was going to spend another weekend alone and loathing in self pity, but it turned out that
  • I founded a Meetup group for people just like me. We could hang out at the community center and dwell in our loathing and self-pity together... and play Magic the Gathering.
  • It was definitely a step up from that Dungeons and Dragons group, those guys were STRANGE! So, I'm dressed up in my magical cape, and I brought some spinach dip, and I walk to the
  • nearest library to refresh my memory of the core Harry Potter spells. For some reason, "Expeliarmus" will not stay in my head. What a crappy wizard I'd be, I think as I head out
  • of the library. The simplest of spells is the one I couldn't remember. It was also probably the only one I could do. The thought of magic began to stress me out.
  • So I took the day off. I decided instead to go tinker around on my motorcycle. Before long, I had upgraded its unicorn drive and ... oh wait, there's that blasted magic again.
  • I really wish it wouldn't fall out of my pocket like that. *SIGH* If only I could keep the magic in my pants.
  • Not like there was much trouble keeping anything else in the pants. Too much empty room in there. It all got lost so easily. Magic would be the only hope, really.
  • So the Droid projected the grainy hologram. The princess said, "Help me magic. You're are only hope." Magic Johnson sat back and looked at the farm boy. The two Tatooine suns
  • hovered like twin basketballs over the desert. OB1 Magic felt a disturbance in The Court so he and the boy laced up their high tops & slam dunked the Death Star: Rebels 2, Empire 0

Thanks for the nice fold and pass MoralEnd. It was fun to complete this story which does have a subtle kind of magic.

Your comparison of the twin suns to basketballs is awesome.

"No! No! You can't destroy innocent people! Basketball's a peaceful planet!" -Princess Anne-Droid Hardware Wars The basketball idea hit me immediately, after that, things just rolled along... It's easy when the penultimate fold is so promising. Thanks for the compliments and to everyone else. I like the whole story.
