- A gargoyle and a voluptuous blonde assisted The amazing Pamplemousse at the Picadilly. In his shaman costume he'd flimflam the crowd by whispering the magic words "rigaton salami
- , e prosciutto!" The audience, in their Sicilian stupors, would then be robbed by two dwarf pickpockets. The amazing Pamplemousse and his traveling companions had toured most of
- the Santiago de Compostela pilgrimage route robbing the faithful of their pitiful alms. At last, in a snowy pass in the Pyrenees, Pamplemousse & his ruffians met their nemesis in
- Andrew the Andorian, the masked wonder of the Pyrenees. Pamplemousse and his Highway Padres knew they would have to set an ambush for this vigilante vagabond.
- Pamplemousse and his Highway Padres trapped Andrew the Andorian in a tar pit.
- Tiphatneus, however, never relied on the tar pit, as he had seen them disolve before.
- Br'er Rabbit and Uncle Remus were experts on tar babies. They created the tar pit for their sculptures of famous people. There was to be an exhibition of their sculptures at the
- La Brea Tar Pits in Los Angeles. It was actually a long museum loan. The contract had been worked out by Br'er Rabbit & Uncle Remus with the Acme Corporation. The Liberace tar baby
- pitched a fit when the owners of the LaBrea Tar Pits wouldn't let him light the candelabra on his tar-covered piano, even though it would be a fire hazard. "But it's my schtick!"
- You know...like Jack Benny and Henny Youngman with their violins, or, better yet, like Arthur Brown and his Crazy World. "Give me a break!" But they wouldn't, so he lit it anyway!
