What's for dinner?
- What's for dinner?
- A big steaming plate of last nights
- with a dash of yesteryears. This temporal platter was really gonna hit the spot. Reading any kind of history makes my mouth water. I had an aged 1984 sexy fireman calendar in the
- cellar that I was planning to pair with a 1972 Farmer's Almanac that I'd splurged on. I was drooling just thinking about it. I decided to sneak down for a quick peek. Zoinks!
- There was a total eclipse on July 10th, 1972, my birthday! I looked at the druidic tattoo on my forearm. It'd been there since I can remember. I booked an eclipse vacation to Stone
- a couple of heretics over the weekend. All I could think about was how great this birthday was! I thought about this with a stew of emotions, such as sadnees, irony and
- , well, even joy because (after all), I love buttercream icing and I blew out all of the candles in one breath. Never mind that the weekend was slightly marred by the behavior of
- my mother. She always thinks my birthday party is her party. She invites her friends and they drink mimosas and smoke at the table. I sat looking at my cake, thinking that when I
- next see a cake, sometime after the slaughter and the trial and conviction, it might contain the means of my deliverance. But I endured my Mom and her toxic friends, one year older
- than I and yet not a day wiser, and I have to say, I think the whole thing went better than expected. I still don't quite know where the pineapple came from, though.
