- We'd arranged to meet at our usual place: under the diplodocus's tail at the museum. Tourists were sitting around surrounded by their possessions like refugees fleeing a war zone
- when an awful smell enveloped us. I knew it wasn't Betty since she still hadn't had the cork removed. I hadn't farted. I looked up at the diplodocus and I swear it's tail shifted
- point three degrees to the right. Veronica had her plug in too. Jughead petted the diplodocus and said in a disgusting way, "He likes the smell."

- Miss Jane called from the dining room, but when Mr. Drysdale, Veronica and Jughead rushed in for their dessert, instead they found Miss Jane in a scant negligee. "Too rich for my
- blood." Veronica said. Jughead's eyes bugged out of his head when he noticed the dessert on the table and Mr. Drysdale's eyes bugged when he saw Miss Jane in her knickers. "Miss Ja
- -ja-ja-JANE!" Mr. Drysdale's tongue then rolled out onto the floor, across the room and out the door, his hat flew three feet into the air, and a distinctly car-horn-like sound was
- heard emanating from a prophylactic raincoat. Ms. Jane and Jethro dragged a Camel into a billowing tower of ash. Ellie May skinny-dipped in cement. Jed and Granny passed out still
