  • "Someday, Tomas, we will go over those mountains. What do you think is on the other side?" Tomas shook his head. "I don't know, Matthias. Green hills? Clear, fresh water?"
  • It was a metaphor & a rhetorical question, something Tomas did not understand. Matthias sighed. "Follow me," he said. Tomas shrugged & trudged behind him into Big Betty's Brothel.

  • Tomas wasn't the most tactful person. It looked like someone haf poured Big Betty into those hot pink yoga pants, and she forgot to say "when." "What are you staring at, Tomas?"
  • Tomas flinched. "Uh... why... at nothing, Big Betty. Just..." He hastily improvised: "I used to have pants just like that." "Pink yoga pants?" "N-no..." The vastness of that seat!
  • Now he wore chili pepper pants and was mistaken for a chef, much to his delight. He was invited to restaurants he couldn't ever afford, such as Froggy's. He loved chili peppers.
