And now the story of how I got that scar.
- And now the story of how I got that scar. Lenny "The Knife" and I were out tipping a few whiskeys one night. Lenny was talking to this girl with an intricate facial tattoo of a key
- board in gray-scale on her forehead and a set of hands across her cheeks. If you pressed the "key" parts of her tattoo with your fingers, she sang the corresponding musical notes.
- My fantasy had finally come true. My Keytar synth had been transformed into a chick by the tooth fairy. I could play notes on her and make out. Sweet, but how do I explain this
- to Anna? Not! I touched her leg just above the knee, and she began to vibrate at 1568Hz (G). As I slid my other hand near her, um, "Keytar", I was able to coax out a silky vibrato.
- Her humming noise was mesmerizing - and unsettling. I looked at Anna and wished that she
- would stop making such a horrid humming noise. What melody even was that? It sounded evil. But Anna didn't notice my look of disgust, so I had to voice my annoyance to her.
- No matter how loud I got, her humming kept being even louder. Not only louder but more evil & menacing. I finally had to cut Anna's head off with a spoon. It took a long time. Then
- I tossed Anna's head into the river, where it bobbed along downstream, humming hideously all the way. Her headless body also began to hum. I had not silenced her! From far away, I
- watched myself embrace her decapitated corpse, and heard a voice not unlike my own wail in what sounded like unbearable anguish. The vibration of her humming corpse pulled me into
- a lull of peace, a peace I'd never known before, but welcomed. Her detached whisper tickled my ears: "Together...forever..." And then my life began again.
