- The soundscapes muzak belied Babs' inner turmoil. She could feel the sweat pool under her breasts as she solemnly regarded her coffee grounds. Hands shaking, Babs picked up her
- packages and headed for the Post Office. Everything depended on this, her future neatly folded and packed into three plain envelopes. She wished Bon Jovi hadn't let her go. A&R men
- are fickle, she thought, but Jon Bon Jovi...wasn't he in an episode of Californication? Wait what am I doing? She looked at the three envelopes, having forgotten their purpose, and
- tossed them into a recycling bin, along with an assortment of discarded junk mail, ads, receipts, and coupons. "Hey, there's a sale at Penneys!" I really needed some new
- slaves. Penny's gives out some of the best slaves. They come in the form of all kinds magical creatures. Elves, vampires, and don't forget my personal favorite
- ie the gnomes, which everyone knows they make the best slaves. Fortunately that day there was a discount at Penny's. I entered the store with my cart and looked for the right aisle
- For three year old stock of my favourite old brown shoes. There they were, so I put them on and donated my designer boots that were uncomfortable enough to make me want to throw a
- designer boot at them but the stars never lined up for that. I heard murmurings but it never happened. So with my new old brown shoes I decided to walk them across the old covered
- Shrub hall in solemnity. Everyone talked about designer boots and what not. But status and brand names wasnt the answer- rather the feelings of content and confidence. A calm peace
- settled over the shoe department. Sneakers slept. Pumps deflated. Nirvana flooded every sole. But the next day brought the summer clearance sale and they were all fit to be tied.
