Once upon a time there was a fairy princess

  • Once upon a time there was a fairy princess who lived in the magical lolly pop forest with her mother, father and little fairy brother...
  • They traveled the world of the forest on a magic carpet. Most days were good but they had to look out for
  • the modern witches riding hoovers which could damage their magic carpet. Being modern they were emancipated & half of them were male. One particular witch named Herbert was especia
  • lly modern because he was a post-modern witch. Herbert the Post-Modern Witch approached traditional magic in non-traditional ways that deviate from pre-established structural magic
  • Herbert's post-modern approach to wizardry included a break down of the caster/castee dichotomy, with the result that his spells often had unpredictable and unexpected results like
  • mix up time-space-reality, when all he tried to do was turn a bowl of water into a bowl of honeyloops with milk. Herbert had just spooned up a mouthful when he realized a dinosaur-
  • version of himself was slowing taking his place in his current space-time realm. Pretty soon Herb was no more, but a Herbasaur was sitting at the table eating cereal in his stead.
  • Herb was staring at Herbasour as he was a messy eater. Herbasour shoved a whole half of the bagel in his mouth and practically swallowed. So inhuman, Herb thought, eating nicely,
  • while it certainly has its advantages, is just not as much FUN as shoving half a bagel into your mouth and swallowing it without chewing. Herb decided to copy Herbasaur, something
  • the likes of which the irony escaped him. Sadly Herb's bagel half pointed into a frown-ward curve and he was very unhappy indeed. The Herbasaur turned sad too, and both were sad.
