Jherek Manatee rechecked Schiaparelli's map,

  • Jherek Manatee rechecked Schiaparelli's map, entered the coordinates of the fabled crystal city, raised the magnetic shields of his reentry shuttle and buckled himself in for
  • endomorphic shock waves. After the Black Out Arrival Manatee found himself walking up the PedPlank. Someone in the Crystal City must have been tipped off he was coming because
  • just as he crossed the road, a black truck pulled up alongside him. The doors opened and two burly arms reached out, grabbed his neck, and wrapped it in a pink, feathered boa.
  • His face was pressed into a muscular pink-feathered boa'd chest. The scent of Chanel #5 surrounded his senses as he struggled against the burly arms. "Calm down, Mon Cheri,"
  • But he couldn't calm down. He hated the scent of Chanel no. 5, he preferred Chanel no. 19. "Remove me from your chest," he said muffledly. Mr Chanel no. 5 rel
  • ies too heavily on sweet, heady floral notes, while No 19 is more sophisticated and chic. It's the only one for me!" he cried. Finally she conceded and pulled him off her chest.
  • The piano player made a mistake and disrupted the mood. No. 20 was atomised from using Chanel No. 8. The odour police arrived to tell her it was too strong. She said, "I don't care
  • and not only that, I don't care!" That is when Sgt. Smitty lost it. "You don't care!? I am sick and tired of people like you who don't appreciate what it takes to be Odour Police!"
  • And with that, Sgt. Smitty inhaled the poor fool into his huge, muscular nostrils. Inside Smitty's sinus cavities, the naysayer dwelled for some time. It was cramped in there, but
  • he had all the free boogers he could eat. Eventually the naysayer became trapped in a sinus infection; blown out and, sent into the toilet where he drown in a massive flush.

And he was probably naysaying then. "The water could be warmer." "Did you see the size of that flush? What a waste." "Would it have been too much to ask if my parents, both successful attorneys, could have pitched in for swimming lessons?"
