Did you hear the one about the cross-eyed teacher? She couldn't control her pupils.
Ms. Pimm didn't see any irony in the fact that she taught at an optometry school despite her Strabismus. Walt sat in the 1st row both because he was walleyed & infatuated with her.
Walt would have given his eye teeth to gaze into Ms. Pimm's screwy eyes. Walt could read between the lines: Ms. Pimm was a lonely optometry teacher. Walt kept his eyes peeled for
a stylish frame to impress the discriminating opto-babe. It was a mystery to him how a woman like that was alone, forsaken, dejected. He was determined to woo Ms. Pimm even if
She told him to stop stealing her silverware for money. He brought her food when she needed it most. That was #1. Today he brought bread, jam and coke.
She warned him again that the lines better be even. "No more cutting mine thicker. You deserve it just a well as me". Oh, it was worth it just to see him blush at recognizing I spo
t that made her happy.
And a little confused, if she was being honest. There were some undertones of apathy as well (not that she cared). She realised she didn't actually know how she felt.
So she reached out and touched herself on the arm. "I am lukewarm and a little fuzzy," she announced to a passing hornet, who didn't care how she felt, but was more concerned about
her funnel cake which laid in the grass by her side. Her dog was also focused on the cake, as well as two squirrels and a migrating goose. She rose up herself. The cake might help.
