put down receiver. Sam heard a knock on the door. She opened it wearily to the kid in a trench coat. It had been so long. The kid touched her hand. “Tag! You’re it!”
"Tag!?" She said to the kid in the trenchcoat. She chased him around the yard, trying to tag him back.
But just before she could tag the kid back, he smashed into a tether ball pole! His trench coat flew open and all kinds of crazy stuff dumped to the ground.
Pamela charged right in Kof's direction to no avail, slipping on all the RC cars and sounding rods he was carrying around. Before they knew it, they were both knocked out.
Pamela awoke first, Kof was nowhere to be seen, and perhaps that was for the best. Who knows what she would have done if he had been there... She didn't want to think about it.
But think about it is all she did. All morning. Was she expecting Kof to call? She didn't know. What if he did? What would she say? So what if Kof didn't call. She hadn't promised.
