Fue un lunes normal de invierno, casi nadie

  • Fue un lunes normal de invierno, casi nadie queria levantarse de la cama.
  • I hit the snooze, that gave me 9 min and 59 secs before the scissors cut the rope, releasing the anvil, which pulls the clothes pin off the springs that sends my mattress in a 90°
  • flip, hurling me over a cliff, into a lagoon infested with piranhas on the brink of ending their hunger strike, that's surrounded by a minefield. You might say I live on the edge
  • of sanity, but if you aren't on the edge, baby, where are you? I snatched the piranhas one at a time and hurled them at the minefield, detonating a clear pathway out. I ran as far
  • as I could until I started to feel a sudden
  • pang, a feeling, indescribable really, I'm at a loss to explain it. It came on without warning, on the quick as it were & took me completely by surprise. If you want me to pin it
  • down, give me a few moments to collect myself. I am still reeling from this abrupt, unforeseen sensation, which I will attempt to explain. First though, let me tell you about
  • how I lost three toes in the war. It all started and ended with an artillery shell. Now, this sensation... am I having a heart attack? Maybe, but what about the dull ache in my
  • leg, flaming furiously ---- more furiously than I sob and weep into the windshield of the two bit car I bought from Sully de la Mor,
  • This was one huge karmic lesson. I never drove again and was never late to work again! My boss bought me a monthly transit pass as a reward. I sold the two-bit car without regrets.

Spanish to English via Google: It was a normal Monday in winter, almost nobody wanted to get out of bed.

Amazing, the first line is about getting out of bed on Monday, the last line is about being late for work. And an ingenious escape from the excellent Rube Goldberg alarm clock.
