  • Weak with recent illness, Wilma played her notorious hoax on Fred, she got Dino to get up on his hind legs and
  • show Fred his "T-Rex". Fred loved this trick and gave Dino a brontosaurus bone, which Dino dropped on the pteradactyl bath in the yard. Bam-Bam wanted some bam-bam so he called
  • Pebbles. Fred knew something was up when Pebbles started powdering with quarry chalk. He was an overprotective father & made Pebbles wear a chastity beast.
  • Fred's suspicions were confirmed when he caught Pebbles out back of the malt shop with Bam Bam. Fred knew why he had that name. Luckily Pebbles's chastity beast was a fierce
  • velociraptor, who would maul Bam Bam if he got too intimate with Pebbles. Fred figured Bam Bam was smart enough
  • to outwit a velociraptor but Pebbles disagreed. & so they all agreed (including Fred) that Bam Bam & Pebbles should not spend the week together in Marbella, but instead
  • Stay home and wait for a better time to go to Marbella. Fred would book the flight later when fares were cheaper offseason.
  • While we waited in the lobby of that hair salon, I asked Fred about the cravat again. He remembered that I was not Daphne and in on the secret and clammed up like a something that
  • was slammed shut so hard it would never again be opened. I grabbed him by the lapels and drew his frightened face to mine. "Get me that damned cravat or it's curtains," I snarled.
  • "I love curtains." he said. I slapped him & said "NOT those kind of curtains." I stared him down a bit, my angry eyes eyeballing his eyeballs. Then we laughed unti the sun came up.
