When the darknesss lifted nothing was left. Christian looked around and all he saw was pieces of
fish everywhere. Why didn't he tell us that people did this kind of thing? He had a lot to explain to him
but that could wait. First things first. I needed to get my lacy lingerie from the dry cleaneers. If anyone else knew this about me
I would die of embarrassment... especially if they knew my lacy lingerie was hot pink with fiery orange polka dots. I grabbed them from the cleaners & stopped at a gas station for
a hot dog and a pack of double bubble. "I gotta bounce," I said to Charlie at the counter. The boys are on the way
and I can't have them over until the flowers are exploding like fireworks on the 4th of July. And it's only thanksgiving! I have a half a year to
finish the landscaping project, choose a menu and decide what I'll say when I finally see them. Whatever happens when they arrive, it's sure to be
something I'll regret. Like that time in college when I got drunk and woke up sore in embarassing places only to discover I was in bed with
a three-legged German Shepherd named Alice. I was beginning to think that pledge week was taking a year off my life for every day spent in that god forsaken house. Only three more
hours to go and I was counting down every minute. I silently cursed this lamebrain idea. I would never make the same mistake again!
