My tooth was killing me, so I decided to

  • My tooth was killing me, so I decided to bite the proverbial bullet and go to the dentist. A real one, not the one I went to last time in the alley behind FoodWay. In the waiting
  • room a woman sat with her cat on her lip. When she opened her mouth to croon at it she had no teeth. This did not bode well
  • she had been hoping to eat some steak later. She wondered where her teeth had gone? Had she forgotten to put them in this morning? She thought not, but it was hard to tell. She was
  • having trouble with her memory lately. Just the other day she had spent hours looking for her toothbrush only to find it in the freezer. Maybe that was where her teeth were too!
  • Additionally, it also could explain that funky smell in the fridge. She muttered nonsense to herself, popped in her teeth and
  • opened a box of arm and hammer. That should do something about the smell. I just don't had time for this she thought. I have an appointment at the
  • mortuary. Her home embalming kit would have to wait. Such inventions were "her time only" and she was supposed to be on the clock and at the slab fifteen minutes before. Corpses
  • piled up in the doorway only distracted her momentarily, while she searched for her knitting needles. She was sure she had put them in her bag, and she did not dare show up
  • unprotected. The meeting had been arranged last minute and she knew there was a chance her arch rival would be there. In her hands the knitting needles would not be seen as a
  • threat. And so it was that the last baby bird made it's way back to it's mother.
