A quiet child appeared at the teacher's desk.
- A quiet child appeared at the teacher's desk. She had tears streaming down her cheeks. No words came out and she peered from beneath long strands of hair.
- The teacher tried not to stare at the ripening bruise behind that hair. "Shiner for sure," she thought, but to the child, Mandy, the teacher said, "It happened again, didn't it?"
- "Yes, Ms.Timms. I fell down again while playing." Ms. Timms sent her to the school nurse. She needed evidence before calling in social services. The bump on Mandy's head pulsed
- and Ms. Timms was very concerned. She hoped that
- nothing was seriously wrong with Mrs. Betty, even though the doctors said she may have broken some bones.
- She shouldn't have tried to do a back flip off the roof of her car. I can't believe a 90 year old woman would do that.
- She's never broken a bone a day in her life and doesn't even know how to spell common cold! She drinks energy drinks and pops vitamins all day long. And she never misses a day at
- the pageant head quarters where her mother made her put on eight pounds of make up and do her pageant walk 47 times. She takes so many vitamins to make her skin glow.
- But then the vitamins cross-reacted with the make-up. The Pageant Toddler's consciousness expanded to unearthly proportions. Her brain became one with the Galactic Mind and
- in the end, she discovered the truth. The shocking, all-encompassing Truth. The one universal, unending, superseding, question-answering TRUTH. The walrus was Paul.
