Shadows billowed across the patterned floor,

  • Shadows billowed across the patterned floor, concealing the dark figure who stood at the end of the hallway. Fear paralyzed me as I realized the sight of this figure had literally
  • scared the crap out of me. It was not how I wanted to die. I raised my hands in supplication and slowly backed away, but the figure walked through shadows towards me. I began to
  • to sing an old sea shanty of my father's. The apparition paused momentarily in confusion. I played a jig on my tin whistle. Soon, several pirate spirits formed a quadrille.
  • But the dancing and singing stopped abruptly. I followed the eyes of the phantoms beyond the pier. A black ship had entered the bay. The pirate ghost shuddered and said, "
  • Eeny meenie miny moe, grab your brother by his toe. Swing him round, then let him go, eeny meenie miny moe." I couldn't help laughing. "First of all, I don't have a brother, and se
  • cond, Moe is not my name." I counterattacked with my own rhyme, "Step on a crack. Break your sisters back".
  • "What's up?" The look of bewilderment could not be matched. "How can I parry that rhyme? Perhaps I need to resort to mime" Now the game is on ... Or it is?
  • The opponent slung out, "My rhyming will leave you defeated, very soon you'll be retreated!" "Orange!" The hero replied!
  • "I'll singe your minge on a door hinge, make you cringe!" the opponent rapped. Hero needed a fast one. "Bitch, you don't itch! I'll leave you in stitch-es! Can't touch my riches!"
  • The hero's rap unwittingly released the foul demons of the netherworld unto the stage, who devoured his opponent, the DJ equipment, then the entire audience. He stood triumphant.
