It was a puzzle. To talk to the gate keeper I had to solve it, then "it" could begin. It was a word puzzle, the letters the witch gave me were: "FOLLOWMADIGXX"

All I could decipher was "GODIGX", implying a hidden treasure. So I set off to find this X, hoping to be able find the treasure,and the key to allow me to speak to the gatekeeper.

I didn't have a map, so I opted for throwing a handful of twigs on the floor and seeing if that would tell me anything. They all landed, more or less, in
