  • He'd had enough time to hide the body that'd owned the suit he was wearing in bathroom's maintenance closet. He jammed a key into the lock and broke it off, so it would be hours
  • until anyone bothered to really try and open it. He quickly ran to the stairs, smoothed his hair and took one last look behind him before
  • sliding down the banister legs forward. He figured it was the only way to atone for his sins. The heavy turned newel at the bottom stopped him midslide.
  • by totally bashing him in the noogies! This was how Thurston Boughtschmidt III, or grandad as we called him, became the first Billionaire. You see that bannister accident actually
  • happened right after he ran the first 4-minute mile. "Roger, don't drink and drive," I said. "You can run faster than a car anyway." ...Oh wait, that was Prefontaine. I'm so
  • sorry if I caused any confusion there. Please accept my most sincere apologies. What I actually said to Roger was, "Roger, don't run faster than the speed of sound, otherwise you
  • could burn the cupcakes that Arnold needs for badminton practice." I looked at Betty expectantly. Betty looked at me blankly. She nodded and smiled but I could tell that she didn't
  • understand a word. I had a moment of anxiety. Which Betty was I talking too? Rubble? Boop? Crocker? They all had that enormous head and flip-doo. I turned to my pal Jughead.
  • Jughead just laughed. "Can't tell 'em apart either. Listen, me and Blondie are getting a drink after work with Beetle Bailey. Wanna come?' I had to give Marmaduke a walk but I
  • was sure I could trust him at Janis's place even though Arlo was out of time. "Sure, but make sure that Mutts guy isn't too preachy tonight." So I got my stuffed tiger and went.

Thanks, I've been making so many mistakes lately, particularly a few overlooked typos, so I was glad I could keep it on track for a change. It's a fun challenge, though!
