    ill-fated archeological expedition horror stories are my favorite. 1. An expedition enters the jungle on a quest to find a lost city. 2. They suffer horribly from parasites, diseases, hunger etc. 3. Their superstitious native guides desert them. 4. They find their goal. 5. An ancient evil kills them or drives them mad. 6.
