  • She drifted away, on a warm Summer day, like veils twirling, shadows sterling, both the waves and sky; watched her disappear; growing distant more and less near, said goodbye.
  • But he whsipered in her ear," I love you like summer day, you are the wind on a crazy day. If you don't tell me why you left me, I feel as though you might want to run."
  • Her eyes darted rapidly, looking for an escape or exit. The man continued, "Please don't run... I get so lonely." he mumbled as he took out a jar of peanut butter.
  • “Lonely, you say?” she screeched, “is THAT an excuse to kidnap me and take me here?” The man looked truly sad. “D...Denise...don’t..go” He
  • pointed at the only way off the lighthouse was by helicopter or a 1500 feet drop to raging waters & rocks below. Denise gasped as she was hit with vertigo. Her kidnapper caught
  • a very bad cold and was bed-bound for days, during which Denise was able to signal to the coast guard that she needed a helicopter, pronto. As it dangled a rope by the lighthouse
  • Denise realized that this was her chance to score a Coast Guard Swimmer; she crammed herself into an extremely skimpy dental floss bikini and fainted at the top of the lighthouse.
  • However, Denise had failed to consider that the Coast Guard does only water rescues, not lighthouse rescues. When she came to, the 80-year-old lighthouse keeper was grinning at her
  • saying with a weak old voice "ahh, finally you're awake. Not many people come into this old lighthouse. Everyday i practice my shuffle technique." The man began shuffling and broke
  • into a leer. The lump in his pants made me nervous. I pointed out the window. On shore, a farmer tended sheep. The man drooled. With him diverted, I crept downstairs and got away.

Why do lighthouse-keepers always have to be lecherous old men with leathery skin, drooling, toothless grinning and seeds all dried up...it must be too much sun exposure.

I'm glad that Denise finally escaped the lighthouse keeper at the end.

Did you mean to say Dee-nice? Churlish and unruly is what that is. Churlish and unruly. Shout out to K&P.

Would have been better off for Denise if she had escaped the lighthouse keeper at the beginning. But I hear you. We've got to take the little victories or we'd have no victories at all.

Well, if she had escaped at the beginning, that would have been the end of the story, and we still would have had nine lines to go.

If faced with that dilemma, Denise would be relegated to being a device to a means. With Denise out of the picture, perhaps the lighthouse-keeper would feel pity and a sick desire to take her body and try and restore her...like Boxing Helena.

Tsk, tsk, tsk, Woab. The end of the story? The end of the story? On FoldingStory.com? Surely you jest woman. She might have escaped only in her mind. Or we could have had a story of cat & mouse with her stuck on the island and the lighthouse keeper looking for her. She might have found the mortal remains of the previous lighthouse "guests". Enough evidence to get the lighthouse keeper chastised by the State.
