I offered the Middle English cooks my middle finger. Alarmed, they backed away from me. "Hex us not!" wimpered Abigail, her ample wimple withering from the sweat on her brow.

Yet no wimple could hide the dimples on her lovely round face. The wind whistled eerily through the woods. Abigail weirdly grinned and whispered, "The witching hour..."

Barefoot, prowling through the dense woods, her souls numb to the aching of the litany of dying leaves. "The witching hour is soon..." she whispers again, letting her words linger.

Her apprentice tugged on her cape. "I brought some comfortable slippers." The witch winced, "The souls of the forest, not the soles of my feet." "Oh, my mistake, oolong?"
