  • She kneaded the dough expertly, it was such great therapy. She rolled it into a rectangle to add the cinnamon-sugar filling. This filled her with so many bittersweet memories as
  • the scent of her grandmother baking in the oven wafted through the air. She sighed & brushed a tear from her floured cheek. Her grandmother should have kept her wrinkled mouth shut
  • but no, her grandmother had spoken the "thing" out loud. She'd brined her grandmother, put an apple in her mouth and cooked her. She called it a Luau and invited the whole

  • "You always were a picky eater growing up, sis - you really need to try new things once in a while." Cannibalism has such negative connotations these days, thought Sharon as she

Haw! Slim's line killed me and ate me for breakfast. I'd like to say that today marks my first completed year here at FS. I am One with this Universe? Much gratitude to the FS creator and to all the creative genius participants. I love you all dearly. This is a fun place to limber up one's improvisational skills for other writing projects. I am currently trying to write short stories and really appreciate how this helps with spontaneity.
