The moral of this story is that sometimes taking a different path to a known destination can change the way we travel forevermore. Our tale begins with two friends in a coffeeshop

. To save them from further embarrassment, we'll call them "Meg" and "Chloe." They met up for coffee to make plans for the upcoming Junior League of Biloxi's annual fashion show.

But at the coffee shop something unexpected happened to Meg and Chloe. They both forgot their wallets and had a huge coffee bill that they could not pay for.

The coffee shop owner thought Meg and Chloe were cute and let them pay the bill with a kiss on the cheek. Meg & Chloe were always surprised by the kindness of strangers. They'd bee

n too impecunious to afford cake so they offered the coffee shop owner a smack on the bum each for 2 slices of carrot cake. He obliged & Meg & Chloe, smarting slightly, sat on the

chairs, with their red bums. "This carrot cake better be worth it." said Meg and Chloe in unison. This scared him silly, but he was terrified when they started levitating, their ey

-es afire. He had had no idea that vegetarians vampires could be so rabid about their desserts, but Meg and Chloe knew the hunger that only carrot cake could quell.

They were veggie vampires from the old country. Not like the upstart younger generation who'd settle for fake sausages and qorn schnitzel. Meg & Chloe were sent to eliminate these

upstarts. They found themselves already in the scene. A mansion's empty atrium. The door behind them which they just seconds before entered through are chained up, rusty & dusty.

The "Mecca Flat Blues " was played by a jazz band as the Mecca Flats at State and 34th were demolished. My uncle was there taking photos, enough to fill an album I still have.
