As if in a trance, I steered my shopping

  • As if in a trance, I steered my shopping cart into the strange gloom of Aisle 11. Moments later, a small smoky demon chomped on my leg then handed me its business card before it
  • dissolved in a green haze. I peered at the card & saw ☄☈❦⚗☉⚛☍✡♒♆❅❖☥⚔☠. The imp's card implored me to search the produce section for occult symbols in the corporate logos.
  • I knew that the Chiquita banana lady was part of the occult cabal. That wasn't a hat, it was horns! By saying, " ☄☈❦⚗☉⚛☍✡♒♆❅❖☥⚔☠" the scales fell from my eyes. Fruit was Satan!
  • It all made perfect sense now. The lilting music, the Chiquita banana lady's ruby red smile, the sticker I'd stuck to my forehead...the mark of Satan! She plucked some grapes from
  • from an invisible vine and began to peel off the skin. I removed the sticker from my face and asked, "What kind of grapes?" Chiquita banana lady ate a peeled grape. "Invisible."
  • Ah... My fruit salad days when I was green in judgement, cold in blood and was seduced by an older banana. Chiq
  • ita was the apple of my eye until I discovered Mrs. Plum had appeal. I didn't give a fig for nectarines but Mr. Orange was a real peach. I wore a lot of Juicy Couture in those days
  • and sometimes shopped at Piperlime. Likewise Ms. Clementine, Mr. Orange's niece, was said to have such citrus appeal that whenever she strolled by, others had trouble concentrating
  • Of courseit was all pulp fiction. Ms. Clemetine's juiciness was superficial at best. Inside she was rotten & seedy. It was a sublime deception! If you citrus self down & think about
  • what a son of a peach she is, you're plum tuckered out before raisin any good points. Orange you? Of course you are. So kum, quat does it really matter in the end?

... and last night I had Calamansi Sherbert: that is sublime. Never head of this fruit before, a natural cross between kumquat and mandarin from the Philippines. http://foldingstory.com/qxkpj/
