There once was an elf who didn't know her

  • There once was an elf who didn't know her name. She asked the witch, the goblins and the dwarves. No-one could help her. A unicorn told her she should search in the hills around
  • There were lots of hills, but only one was the correct..the correct one was very far away it was a very difficult travel to get in. could the elf arrive and discover her real name?
  • It was this particular line of the story which prompted little Brynhildr to run away from home to discover her true identity. At school, being so short & having pointed ears caused
  • her to never be allowed on the roller coaster. Brynhildr watched the other kids having fun on the Senior Field Trip. But, then someone said, "Hey, you want a bite of my churro?"
  • Brynhildr lowered her copy of Grove to stare suspiciously. But it was just Toby. He was really offering her a bite. "No Thanks." "Whatcha readin'?" He had a chocolate mustache and
  • a beard made of crisps. "I'm reading a catalogue of spare parts for a Ford Mondeo. I found it in the bin". She wasn't particularly impressed, but did like the beard, and whispered
  • "I've never seen one of those before. May I touch it?" she asked. Seeing he was startled, she added, "Your beard, I mean, it's made of crisps." Softening, he said 'yes,' as long as
  • you don't feel too tempted to take a bite. You see, I've been growing it since I first hit puberty. In my culture, it's a mark of your manhood, how long a man can get his beard to
  • grow before it stops all together. Takes a lot of time, it does. All that groomin' and primpin' that goes along with hair- it's worse with a beard. You need to get food out all the
  • time, and the little birdies will fight you for it! But if the shadow of Mama Bird ever falls upon you, you had better just leave your beard alone.

Welcome to the new folders too! Would you kiss someone with a beard of crisps?

  3. lucielucie Jun 30 2013 @ 11:22

I'll take that as a no.

Very gently. Thanks to evilsprout for giving the story such a zingy fold.

I'd draw the line at prawn cocktail flavour, otherwise why not?

I think that for me generally the answer would be no, because if the beard were tasty, I might munch upon it with mindless disregard and disrespect, and if it were not, then just no.

Ah, but trimming the beard would be so delicious.

As long as it wasn't stale, I'd consider it. lol
