You're eating one helluva grilled cheese

  • You're eating one helluva grilled cheese sandwich. Perfect. Twice you've thought: ~Goddamn, this is the best thing I've ever eaten.~ Then you find it. A hair. You
  • pick the hair out of the cheesy goodness & examine it more closely. It's grey. Coarse. And curly. Then you notice a rosy glow in Granny's cheeks & Gramps winking at her.
  • As you grasp the implications of this, you gag on that last cheesy bite. Frankly you wish your grandparents hadn't hovered so close to the lunch cart while playing hide the salami.
  • But thinking becomes a struggle. The cheese in your mouth now makes you sick. The spring loaded metal bar across the back of your neck forcing out your hope.
  • Not that there was ever much hope anyway; that line of reasoning had been abandoned at around the time that cheese-gag was shoved into your throat, just moments after the bar was
  • closed. you wandered out of the bar hiccuping like crazy and stumbled into an alley. a cute chic with jet black hair walked over to you whispered something into your ear and kissed
  • a parking meter. And what's with the jet black hair? Wouldn't that be like stealth hair? If you don't want your hair seen, why not just shave it? So what did she whisper to you? My
  • attention turned back to her a moment after her question, all thoughts of her inky hair forgotten. I had to think of a lie, and quickly. Two could play at stealth.
  • "I'm not thinking about your inky hair," I lied, brazenly. "Oh? What are you thinking about then?" Damn, I hadn't expected a follow-up. I stalled, "I'm... thinking... about...your
  • cybernetic parakeet, Paul. Umm...great job with that BTW." "You've known about Paul for 11 years. Why think about him now?" Damnit! Another follow-up! I suck at this. She

Slim, I wonder how you keep track of these. Google, spreadsheet or other?

  12. SlimWhitman Jun 11 2014 @ 20:00

The Foldingstory search function is not too shabby if you enter the right keywords. If that fails I try google with a few keywords and always include 'foldingstory'. You can also include names of folders you remember where involved in the story...

All this time and I never really saw the FS Search button ... Thanks!
