A case of Moon Pies. Tucker sighed in relief. Moon Pies could cure almost any ailment, physical or psychological. "Uncle Sam? How 'bout snacking on one of these with your cola?"

"Huh?" Uncle Sam scratched his armpit with a fork. "Yeah, sure." Stars & Stripes Forever played on and on in his mind. He forked the moon pie into his mouth and chugged the cola.

John Bull was ubiquitous in political cartoons from 1910 onward. He and Uncle Sam were seemingly joined at the hip. For some reason political correctness managed to alter that and

everyone knows that an altered bull is not of much use on the farm. So Uncle Sam had a long talk with John Bull. In the end, they agreed that it was time to put him out

of our misery. We set him sail on a slow boat to China. He has a job as fashion model in Beijing and often sends us souvenirs. My favorite are the tiny foot bells.
