With cloning, the introduction of extinct species as domestic pets was all the rage. Soon Mastodons and Dodos had their own boutique salons. Tasmanian tigers strolled the parks.

The truly daring opted for velocoraptors - when trained from birth, they were surprisingly like dogs, and loved to play fetch - so long as you used a dog as the thing to fetch.
