and abandoned for decades now - old residents would still make occasional forays into the ruins to search for "treasure", by which they meant any bottles of liquor they could find.

I still get a little misty thinking about the time old Snyder found a half full bottle of J&B under an old mattress. We declared it a holiday and everyone came together for a

communion. Cheswick somehow had dozens of shot glasses in his trenchcoat emporium. Some we turned down for missing company. Sparks from the trash can fire rose into the winter
