  • The "Mecca Flat Blues " was played by a jazz band as the Mecca Flats at State and 34th were demolished. My uncle was there taking photos, enough to fill an album I still have.

    I was at an exhibit about the Mecca Flats. You can find the song on Youtube. It is a true story. Jazz musicians stayed there.
