One shift, Research Director Erasmos Domingi decided to check out the robotics. All was fine. So was science and toxins. But when he was in xenobiology, he saw

Ruth. Erasmos had not expected to see her here. Not after he left her at the roadhouse in Louisville and that unsaid pain between them. Ruth was in the xenobiology lab organizing

the lassooing of a comet passing within Earth's orbit. Erasmos had snuck into the xenobiology lab to steal some sandwiches from the staff fridge. Ruth gasped. "That's my egg mayo

That I made yesterday. Try it!" Erasmos said it was better than Hellman's by furlongs. The batch vanished so fast Ruth could make three sandwiches for herself. Plus two salads.

"I hope you saved room for dessert, " said Erasmos. "I baked fruit pie, and there's whipped cream." Ruth said she would

not eat any of the pie unless the fruit it contained would be identified. Alas, Erasmos had overcooked the fruit and it was unrecognizable. Ruth threw it in his face. A laugh track

laughed along as Erasmos cleaned his face with the parchment he'd writing on. The laugh track monks were quite infectious, and the Lady playing Ruth nearly broke character.

"Like a mother makes when her baby breaks. Baked Babies" but she kept saying it as "My kingdom afire all around me, my armies defeated, my wizards bested, I can think only of you".
