kept smoking, that's right. Serling smoked his cigarettes down to the bitter nub. Ashed and stinky his fingers were, but damned did that nicotine feel good. He didn't care if they

looked at himself long and hard in the mirror. He picked up an ashtray and threw it into the glass. Shards reflected fragments of Serling's pained expression. He ate another butt.
