Can I take the rest of the day off? "Saturday

  • Can I take the rest of the day off? "Saturday in the Park" by Chicago is stuck in my head. Seriously...

  • Are you crazy Chaz? The 4th of July is the biggest turnover we have all year & you want the day off cause of song? Get back on the street with Slim & sell M80's & cherry bombs.

  • Chaz just stood there, Krammy-ing a Hamstak sammich in his gob. Bored, Slim threw a lit M80 which Blasted the Heath out Prof. Jefforama's Purple car and caused several Earthquakes.

  • Was this the end of morality? The emergency services said they would be there in a tick, meanwhile the crates of green bananas turned out to be bombs! We all had to hide under

  • this tiny piece of cardboard, which obviously wasn't up to the task of shielding us from the green banana bombs as they flew like boomerangs into the trees and buildings around us.

  • "Ouch!! Take it easy! You're wasting all the food!" Being stranded on an island and being pelted by the monkeys wasn't on my life list! We had to befriend them. Stand here while

  • they throw food at us. It didn't work, however, though we were eventually picked up by a helicopter. "How did you find us?" I asked, surprised we didn't have to fend for ourselves.

  • "I saw your smoke signal of course", said the helicopter. "Smoke signal?" I had no idea what it was saying. Why was a helicopter talking anyway?

  • I mean I knew cars could talk. I owned one. But helicopters? That was just weird. Then I remembered my next door neighbor used smoke signals instead of email to talk to

  • his jet. I waved my cigarette around, attempting to convey some kind of message. It puffed out some smoke in reply. I was feeling happy until I realised the engine was dying.

I apparently totally missed the point of the FoldingStory Regulars. :)

Well, peronicus did a very nice subtle job there - so we can hardly blame ya. Anyway the story took a funny turn for the worst...

That present tense slip is going to drive me insane, "threw" not "throw". ^^
